American Heart Association
Basic Life Support
Basic Life Support is the required course for Medical Professionals including:
Medical Doctors
Registered Nurses
Dentist
Pharmacist (that give vaccines or flu shots)
Paramedics
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)
Lifeguards
HeartCode BLS
This is the AHA blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. Heartcode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor (in person).
Community Members
Non-Medical Professionals requiring a CPR or 1st Aid certification
Heartsaver CPR/AED
Heartsaver CPR AED is geared for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in Adult CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
Optional Modules include Child and Infant CPR.
Heartsaver First Aid
The AHA Heartsaver First Aid Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
Heartsaver CPR/AED First Aid
A combination of the above 2 courses that can be completed in both a traditional or blended format.
Heartsaver CPR/AED First Aid (K-12)
The American Heart Association promotes the training of all teachers, students, and K-12 staff with a special discount. This is the same course as the Heartsaver CPR/AED First Aid course with a special K-12 certification discount.
